You buy beauty products, water and food… but image buying these products knowing that their sole purpose and existence is to fund aid projects in developing countries. Wouldn’t it be an amazing feeling knowing that you can help? That is why I was so drawn to the Thankyou.Co and everything they are doing.

So who and what are the Thankyou Co?

They are a social enterprise.

Once all the costs involved in bringing us great products (which are Thankyou Food, Thankyou Water and Thankyou Body Care ranges) are taken care of, every cent left goes towards funding life-changing projects in the developing world.

It is a consumer movement that empowers you to fund life-changing projects through simple choices in your everyday life.

1.4 billion people in our world live in extreme poverty. Meanwhile Australians spend hundreds of millions of dollars every year on bottled water, food, soap and other consumer goods. What if purchasing these everyday products could provide life-changing solutions to people in need?

You may be thinking why not just make a cheaper product so more money goes to the projects? Well aside from changing the world, their number one priority is to produce a great product that we will love. If the quality just isn’t there, who would continue to buy it? Exactly. That is why they have assembled the best foodies, cooks, suppliers and manufacturers in the country.

Products from the Thankyou Food range include muesli, nut bars and oats and has been developed by Callum Hann, former Masterchef contestant and winner of Masterchef All Stars, and has worked tirelessly to ensure that everyone will love the product, as well as the Thankyou Body Care range which includes hand wash and hand lotion.

All products are made with love in Australia

Thankyou.co Co-founder and Managing Director Dan Flynn states ‘Sadly, many Australian companies ship their manufacturing overseas in an effort to cut costs. That just isn’t how they roll. We’ve built a model that supports the local Australian economy, including farmers and suppliers by keeping our production local, with a global outlook. So not only do those in need around the world benefit, but so does the everyday Australian. It’s a win-win!’

They are also passionate about sustainability and the environment.

What else?

The Thankyou range will provide consumers the opportunity to change the world through a single purchase, with each product contributing to the provision of life-changing solutions to those in need, and allows customers to see the exact impact of their purchase, through its reporting program Track Your Impact.

Each product sports a unique code and once entered into the web app found at http://thankyou.co/projects customers are provided the exact details of the project their purchase has been assigned to fund, complete with GPS coordinates.

There are three categories of product that Thankyou will have stocked in Australia’s largest supermarket giants, which include the following:

Thankyou Water funds a range of safe water solutions across Cambodia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Burundi, India, Timor Leste, Kenya, Haiti and Uganda. Now four years on, he continues to drive the vision to see Thankyou become a household name, with millions of lives changed as a result. It just goes to show that you are never to young (or old for that matter) to make a difference.

Be sure to explore their website http://thankyou.co/ to learn about ways of how you can be involved in this movement, or to track your products unique code to see how your purchase has been assigned to fund a project.
