When was the last time you went into Rebel Sport to pick up some new fitness threads other than socks?

I thought so.

Ok If I’m going to be completely honest too… it wasn’t really on the top of my hit list either. Sure I went in there every now and then to look at sneakers or boys’ stuff, but for clothes? Not so much…

Well good news ladies!!! They have changed, rebranded and they are kind of awesome.

Last week I attended their Spring/Summer Apparel Launch and previewed (modeled on some very cool dancers I must add) the new collections from Reebok (dance & yoga), PUMA by Hussein Chalayan, Under Armour and The Upside.

Thank god I left my credit card at home because I could have done some serious damage.

I am sure you have heard of The Upside by now, founded by Australian Fashion Designer Jodhi Meares. She has created yoga and active wear which is not only functional in the studio but something which looks pretty dam amazing out of the studio too.

The Upside by Jodhi Meares

Johdi explains ‘the Upside was born of a vision of how we believe women and men will dress in the future as we value the need to move, stretch, run and be still as much as the need to eat, sleep, work and play. As we move forward into the 21st century the values that once determined dress codes have completely changed. The rise of technology and other creative industries have set a new social standard where lines between dressing for the office, after hours or weekend have merged.

The rules that once dictated what to wear and when to wear it are gone, leaving room for the individual to dress to their own code of ethics and sense of style. The Upside design clothes that embody this new thinking and empower the individual to move freely throughout the lives they create. The Upside is an approach to dressing that includes contemporary eco-friendly styles with a strong emphasis on health and spiritual pursuit.

The campaign is also modeled by Victoria Secret stunner Candice Swanepoel. Im sold.

I am also slightly obsessed with Reeboks new Spring Summer collection… they have partnered with yoga ‘rebel’ Tara Stiles (think more modern yoga than ‘hippy’ yoga) to ensure the range combines expertise, functionality, style while still paying homage to the brands rich heritage.

Tara Stiles

“I’m really excited about how women are going to react to the designs and stylish silhouettes’ says Tara, ‘they are fun and fashionable but also practical, super soft and comfortable. The collection adapts perfectly from the studio and gym to the street, which is defiantly what I’m all about”.

It includes plenty of bold urban designs, strips (I love me some strips!), dancers pants and everything effortless cool in between. Check out the short video below of Tara talking about the range:

And if you are looking for a new bra which actually supports, look no further than the Under Armour Women’s Armour Bra – perfect for high impact sports like running or crossfit.

Another huge wakeup call was the price of everything sold at Rebel Sport (especially Rebook’s range) – it’s actually reasonably priced and you don’t have to remortgage the house just for a pair of tights. Shock horror I know.

Maybe I should have taken that credit card after all!

Have a look at their ranges and let me know which is your favorite http://www.rebelsport.com.au/
