Juices and green smoothies are everywhere at the moment, all you have to do is jump on Instagram to see dozens of creations from people who are aiming to lead a ‘cleaner’ life (followed by hash tags such as #eatclean #raw #healthy), and while this may annoy some non-healthies out there… I love it.
And I am guilty of it.
Jump on board I say!
I aim to drink one daily, and lucky for us, there are companies out there who have solve the problem of storing kgs worth of fresh veggies in our fridges, preparing the concoctions ourselves, and cleaning up the mess post green smoothie creation….
My latest find is Press Juices who not only deliver 3 different cleanse programs (based on level of intensity) but also have stores for you to select your favourite flavours and enjoy when every you like!
Why cleanse? Pressed Juices explain that we all need a little detoxification once in a while. The world we live in is full of impurities (processed food, environmental pollution, chemicals) and our bodies can get bogged down with toxins. These toxins slow our internal processes, both in body and mind, and can eventually produce symptoms of illness. A great way to give our bodies a break, increase energy, strengthen the immune system, balance hormones, and pack a powerful punch of vitamins, minerals and enzymes is with a juice cleanse. When you drink raw pressed juice, all the amazing micronutrients are easily absorbed straight into the bloodstream, freeing up extra energy to allow for deep healing
Why cold pressed the juice? Because cold pressing is the most nutritionally complete juice available, and contains up to 5 times more vitamins, minerals and enzymes than juice made by any other method. Each morning Pressed Juices produce slowly cold pressed products- no additives, no pasteurisation or preservatives, just live juice – and immediately bottled to ensure a shelf life of up to 3 days when refrigerated.
Sounds good to me!!
If you have a chance check out one of their stores, I was lucky enough to be invited to an opening a few weeks ago and I just adore the store front!!
What is your fave recipe? Comment below (or tag your pics with #fitnessinthecity #nourishandmove) so I can try some new numbers over the weekend!
I am loving a simple mix of kale, celery, ginger, lemon + a little water – or a #1 Green from Pressed Juice, closely followed by their totally amazing Spiced Almond Milk which contains almonds, cardamom, cinnamon, dates, nutmeg, sea salt + vanilla bean.

These juices sound amazing. I’m a nutritionist and I try to make fresh juice as often as possible but the preparation and cleaning involved is a bit of a drawback. I wish these were available where I live! http://www.kellymartin.com.au
