If you’re like me, when it comes to fitness, a good solid starter kit goes a long way to making you feel the part and helps to get you motivated.

The issue most times is being able to justify the purchases with your other half – luckily for you (and me) Father’s Day is fast approaching and this provides the perfect opportunity to get your hands on the latest and greatest without the need for secret purchases…

Fathers Day post_edited-2

1. Adidas Ultra Boost in Solar Yellow here

Step in to these bad boys and you’ll rethink everything you know about what fast and comfortable feels like. They’re built with boost for incredible energy returning cushioning beneath your feet without adding weight or sacrificing ground feel. They say red goes fast but, trust me, you’ll go faster and look better in Solar Yellow.

2. Up3 by Jawbone here

A fitness tracker with a difference, it’s easy to wear, more durable and looks pretty schmick too. The UP3 with multi-sensor technology adds breadth and accuracy to Smart Coach. Everything about UP3 says that the bar has been set higher. Wear one and go further. With advanced activity and sleep tracking, food logging, smart coach and heart health, you’re in good hands.

3. Nike AW77 French Terry Shoebox Crew Jumper here

With a cool, understated, off-duty look that goes well in any situation, this super comfy crew neck jumper is a great choice for those still slightly chilly morning starts. It’s made with a soft cotton blend and raglan sleeves for a comfortable, natural fit.

4. Kiehl’s Facial Fuel Moisturiser here

OK so I think we’re all cool enough now to admit that moisturiser is for guys too. That said, there’s still something about using a quality product like Kiehl’s. This vitamin enriched, energising, non-oily moisturiser wakens and uplifts dull fatigued skin. Facial Fuel also helps protect against the effects of environmental aggressors resulting in a healthy invigorated appearance. Great used as a morning wake-up call.

5. 2XU Elite MCS in Black/Nero here

These are hands down the best compression on the market in my opinion. They have withstood the rigours of a full year of footy training through some extremely trying conditions, let alone holding my dodgy hamstrings together. These tights have the next generation in 2XU Compression technology – MCS (Muscle Containment Stamping) for targeted compression. MCS is a revolutionary fabric support system traced over key muscle, tendon and fascia groups to focus greater compression power to wrap precise areas and reduce muscle oscillation and damage. Go the Black/Nero colourway for the ultimate in sleek, stealthy style.

6. Swisse Men’s Ultivite here

Swisse Men’s Ultivite is a premium quality formula, containing 53 vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and herbs tailored for men to help maintain energy levels, mental alertness, provide support during stress and assist with stamina and vitality.

7. Nike Phenom 2-in-1 Shorts in Obsidian/Volt here

My go to shorts for the gym or casual wear. The Nike 7″ Phenom 2-in-1 Men’s Running Shorts are made with perforations and sweat-wicking fabric for breathable comfort. Stretchy boxer briefs are built into the waist for added support and range of motion.

8. Vitamix S30 here

Ok, so we already have a Vitamix TNC 5200 at home and, I’ll be honest, it scares me a little. Don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome, it just feels a little too hardcore for my protein shakes.

Well introducing the S30, the first high performance personal blender – now we’re talking (or blending). Am I right? Hey? Hey? (Dad joke…hey it is nearly Father’s Day…)

The S30 is really easy to use, compact and best of all it comes with 2 x 600ml containers, so you can quickly blend single serving recipes and it becomes an instant travel cup with the flip-top lid that also fits in most cup holders. The double walled, insulated containers maintain hot and cold temperatures while on-the-go which is perfect for your protein shakes or green smoothies – no judgement here.

Enjoy!
